JAMES GALWAY plays SONGS FOR ANNIE.

JAMES GALWAY IS A NORTHERN IRELAND-BORN FLAUTIST FROM BELFAST. HE WAS NICKNAMED "THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN FLUTE". HE SPENT 15 YEARS AS AN ORCHESTRAL PLAYER WITH THE PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRAL AND PERFORMED ON THE SOUNDTRACKS OF "LORD OF THE RINGS". HE WAS MADE AN OBE IN 1977 AND WAS KNIGHTED IN 2001. THIS ALBUM WAS RECORDED IN 1970 UNDER THE RED SEAL/RCA LABEL FEATURING THE INSTRUMENTAL OF JOHN DENVER'S "ANNIE'S SONG" DEDICATED TO HIS WIFE.
