ERIC CLAPTON'S RAINBOW CONCERT

ERIC CLAPTON IS ONE OF GREATEST BLUES ROCK GUITARIST IN THE WORLD. HIS BIGGEST INFLUENCE IN MUSIC WAS ROBERT JOHNSON. ERIC CLAPTON WAS BORN IN UK IN 1945. HE STARTED PLAYING WITH THE ROOSTERS AND CASEY JONES AND THEN FOLLOWED BY THE YARDBIRDS, JOHN MAYALL AND THE BLUESBREAKERS, THE CREAM, BLIND FAITH, GUEST PLAYER WITH DELANEY AND BONNIE, DEREK AND THE DOMINOES. AT THIS STAGE HE WAS ADDICTED TO HEROIN WAS CURED USING THE CHINESE ELECTRO-ACUPUNTURE TREATMENT METHODS RECOMMENDED BY PETE TOWNSHEND OF THE WHO. HE CONTINUED HIS CAREER AS A SOLO ARTIST WITH BACKING MUSICIANS. THIS ALBUM WAS RECORDED ON THE RSO LABEL IN 1979. MY FAVE SONG IS "PRESENCE OF THE LORD".

A great album. I bought it, plus a remastered version on CD released in 1995 with 8 additional tracks. My favorite is "Roll It Over" - now I have 3 versions of this song.
