FOCUS WERE A PROGRESSIVE ROCK BAND FORMED IN 1969 IN THE NETHERLANDS MORE FAMOUS FOR IT'S WINDMILLS, WOODEN CLOGS AND TULIPS RATHER THAN ROCK GROUPS.
THEY RELEASED THEIR FIRST ALBUM "IN AND OUT OF FOCUS" IN 1970 UNDER THE POLYDOR LABEL WHICH WAS UNKNOWN OUTSIDE OF THEIR COUNTRY.
THE MUSIC IS POP ORIENTED WITH TINGES OF CLASSICAL, JAZZ AND BLUES STYLES.
MY FAVE SONG IS "HOUSE OF THE KING".

The best group to come out of Holland in the early '70s, thanks largely to the talents of the guitarist and keyboardist. Their 3rd album 'Focus III' and the 'live' follow-up 'At the Rainbow'were equally successful - my favorites. The band's singles 'Hocus Pocus' and 'Sylvia' are still being played on radio today.

They are a really good band but what a waste when they disbanded.
