Santana-Santana

Carlos Santana-guitar, vocals.
Mike Carrabello-conga, percussion.
Dave Brown-bass.
Jose Chepito Areas-timbales, conga, percussion.
Mike Shrieve-drums.
Greg Rolie-piano, organ, vocals.

I was knocked out when I first heard the songs on this album-so much feel, gaiety, percussion and Hammond organ driven with Carlos blues based guitar works and they sure can rock!

Santana is an American band, formed in 1966 and became famous at the three days Woodstock Music Festival in 1969 with their Latin/African rock music.

This is their first album and one of the song Evil ways became a hit single.
It was recorded under the CBS label.

My fave songs are "Evil ways" and "Soul sacrifice"

Side One: 1. Waiting 2. Evil ways 3. Shades of time 4. Savor 5. Jingo.

Side Two: 1. Persuasion 2. Treat 3. You just don't care 4. Soul sacrifice (video).

A classic breakthrough album. The songs are my favorites too. You, me and our friends were fortunate to see them perform in KL in '71.
